Fungal nails, skin conditions, nail cutting
Fungal nails may be successfully treated with regular application of nail lacquer which may take between 9-12 months to clear, we may suggest regular abrasion of the nail at the clinic using a drill every few months to make the nail more porous to this treatment, depending on the extent of the problem. Oral medication, which is only available from your doctor, may also be recommended by us depending on the severity of the problem. Not all patients will be suitable for medication but we will be able to advise regarding this. Severely infected fungal nails can be removed totally under a local anaesthetic and the subsequent regrowth, which can take a full year, is usually clear.

Not all itchy feet are caused by Athletes Foot but we are happy to advice on how best to deal with this problem. Our Podiatrists are able to recognise and help differentially diagnose other skin conditions, which commonly affect the feet and our team has been successful in early recognition of malignant melanoma in several of our patients affecting their lower limbs.
Nail Cutting
If you are unable to reach your feet for whatever reason or need advice on how to cut your own toenails we are happy to help you with your nail cutting needs. We also will cut fingernails for an additional fee for those patients who request it.
